How to Complete Document Compliance in Dotloop

At simpliHŌM, we’ve streamlined the compliance process by providing every state with a Buyer and Seller loop template. These templates include all required and optional documents so you always know exactly what needs to be uploaded for a compliant file.

This article walks you through how compliance works, what you’re responsible for, and who to contact if you need help.

Understanding Your Loop Template

When you create a Buyer or Seller loop in Dotloop, you’ll see a set of document placeholders. Each placeholder is clearly marked as:

  • Required – must be uploaded before closing

  • Optional – may only apply in certain situations

These required labels are built directly into the loop template so you can immediately see what is expected for your transaction.

Agent Responsibility:
It is the agent’s responsibility to upload all required documents into the correct placeholders before the file is submitted for compliance review.

Document Compliance Review Timeline

Once your documents are uploaded, our Compliance Team reviews the file within:

⏱ 1 business day

You will be notified inside Dotloop if additional documents or corrections are needed.
